EMT/Firefighter:

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Complete Carroll County Physical – medically qualified with no accommodations
• CPR Certified (AHA or ASHI)
• Maryland Certified BLS Provider
• Firefighter I (or required to obtain within 1 year of employment start)
• Rescue Technician- Site Ops/VME
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
• EVOC (or required to obtain within 1 year of employment start)
• Valid Class C Driver’s License- w/ clean driving record
• Clean criminal record
• 21 Years of age or older

Preference may be given for the following 

• Pump Operator
• Valid Class B Driver’s License

Paramedic/Firefighter: 

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Complete Carroll County Physical – medically qualified with no accommodations
• CPR Certified (AHA or ASHI)
• Maryland Certified ALS Provider
• Firefighter I (or required to obtain within 1 year of employment start)
• Rescue Technician- Site Ops/VME
• Hazardous Materials Operations
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
• EVOC (or required to obtain within 1 year of employment start)
• Valid Class C Driver’s License- w/ clean driving record
• Clean criminal record
• 21 Years of age or older

Preference may be given for the following

Engineer/Firefighter:
